UA-PTC provides information such as vaccination requirement, student body diversity statistics, tuition and fees, refund policies, transfer and withdrawal policies, academic programs, accreditation, and services for students with disabilities. Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
FERPA lists rights to and procedures for inspecting, reviewing, and restricting educational records, as well as how to file complaints if a student feels as if their privacy rights have been violated.
Description of Security Awareness and Crime Prevention Programs
UA-PTC Police compile campus crime statistics annually to students and staff. Students will be alerted of potentially dangerous situations through campus e-mail.
The Campus Security Act require that students and college personnel be notified of emergency procedures, campus security procedures and policies, and the incidence rate of certain crimes which may have occurred on campus. This information can be obtained by visiting our UA-PTC Police webpage.
Campus Policies Concerning Security and Access to Campus
Most campus buildings and facilities are accessible to members of the campus community, guests, and visitors during normal hours of business, and for special events or occasions. Buildings may close earlier when classes are not in session, during holidays, between semesters, and on weekends.
Law Enforcement Authority of Public Safety Personnel
UA-PTC Police work closely with state and local police departments to monitor crimes on and off campus. UA-PTC officers are sworn to uphold and enforce all federal, state, and local laws. UA-PTC policies and procedures for students can be found in the Student Handbook. UA-PTC Police officers are available to assist anyone on campus.
Criminal and Drug Enforcement Policies and Educational Programs
All local, state, and federal drug and alcohol laws are enforced on campus. Educational programs on drug and alcohol abuse are conducted regularly, and counselors are available to students who feel they need assistance. The Dean of Student Affairs and UA-PTC Police annually distribute procedures for reporting criminal actions, policies concerning campus security, criminal and drug enforcement policies and educational programs, crime prevention programs, and statistics concerning criminal activities on campus. Sexual Misconduct and Title IX: Programs and Procedures
No person at UA - Pulaski Technical College will, on the basis of gender, be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or be subject to sex discrimination, sexual harassment or sexual misconduct under any educational program or activity. All college administrative policies and procedures regarding sex discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct are in compliance with Title IX. Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989 Compliance Statement
The Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Act of 1989 prohibits the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of drugs and alcohol by students and employees on UA-PTC property or as part of any College-sponsored activity. Information is available about UA-PTC’s standards of conduct regarding alcohol and drugs, applicable legal sanctions under public laws, health risks associated with the illicit use of drugs and the abuse of alcohol, drug and alcohol counseling and treatment resources on campus, and the disciplinary sanctions that may be imposed in instances of misconduct involving alcohol and drugs. UA-PTC is committed to fulfilling all federal requirements of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Accommodations are available to students who have documented disabilities. Students requesting accommodations must provide medical, educational, and/or psychological records to document their needs. Students should provide sufficient notification of needs and register with Disability Support Services six to ten weeks prior to the semester of planned enrollment. All Title IV, HEA loans will be submitted to the National Student Loan Data System and will be accessible by guaranty agencies, lenders, and institutions determined to be authorized users of the data system. UA-PTC must provide first-time borrowers of a FFELP or a Federal Direct Loan comprehensive information on the terms and conditions of the loans and of the borrower’s responsibilities. If students have loans under the FFELP, Federal Direct Loan, or Perkins Loan programs, the institution must provide counseling to borrowers. Economic Security Report to Aid Students in Making Career Decisions
The Arkansas Department of Workforce Services (ADWS) has released an economic security report of employment earnings outcomes for degrees and certificates at state-supported institutions of higher education. The report uses data available to the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services and the Arkansas Department of Higher Education to provide earnings information for Arkansas degree and certificate programs, average student loan debt by degree or certificate program, and employment rates for graduates in the year after they complete their certificate or degree program.
