Get Connected
When you have completed the admission process and received their acceptance e-mail, you will next receive an e-mail from UA-PTC Access Services providing you with your student e-mail address and information on how to set up your UA-PTC My Apps account. MyApps contains all of the apps/software that you will need (Workday, Blackboard, Outlook E-mail, etc.). Once you access MyApps, find and click on the Workday SSO Production app. In Workday, you will access your:
• Academics Hub (course registration, view your schedule, find your assigned advisor, etc.)
• Student Resources (Workday “how-to” resources, view transcripts, apply for graduation, etc.)
• Financials Hub (financial aid, view billing statement, pay a bill, view tax documents, etc.)
Before Your Advising Appointment
• Complete student onboarding tasks in Workday - These are a collection of tasks and questions you must complete each semester BEFORE registration (Examples: Emergency contact, student handbook policies, etc.). Here are step-by-step instructions on how to complete those tasks.
• Review our Programs of Study (POS) - See if any of these spark your interest. If you already know which program of study you wish to pursue, print and bring it with you when you meet with an advisor.
• Familiarize yourself with the Course Schedule - This is where you’ll find available courses. You can search courses by “Course Code” or course name (Example: ENGL 10103 or English Composition I). You can also see when, where and how classes will meet (in-person, online, etc.). Most of our classes meet either Monday/Wednesday/Friday (MWF) or Tuesday/Thursday (TR), but there are exceptions.
• Write down questions you may have - It is important to ask your advisor about any questions or concerns you may have about your program of study. The more questions you ask, the better prepared you’ll be to succeed! You can find the answers to many questions on our Frequently Asked Questions page.
When all onboarding tasks are complete, you are ready to meet with an academic advisor and register for classes. You can do this one of two ways:
1. Click this link to schedule an appointment: New Student Appointment
2. Visit our office as a walk-in: No appointment is necessary, but wait times will vary. Drop by our office Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. We are located in the Campus Center Building Room 337 on the Main campus in North Little Rock, and Room 105 at the Little Rock-South site.
