Lois Moore  

Lois Moore is a retired English teacher (Pulaski County Special School District -17 years) and a retired Accounting Technician (Department of Transportation - 25 years). She has a BA in English (UA LR) and an MA in Secondary Education (UA LR). Ms. Moore currently teaches English, reading, and College Seminar classes as well as tutors face-to-face at the Main Campus.

Lynn Strong  

Lynn Strong has worked at UA - Pulaski Technical College since 2011. She enjoys helping students with all aspects of their writing assignments. She has mainly taught courses that emphasized writing, reading, and college study skills. She has a M.Ed. in Adult Education from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR, and she has over 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience. When she is not walking her dog or reading a good book, she enjoys line-dancing and spending time with her husband and friends.

     
Juniper Mikeal  

Juniper Mikeal is an aspiring creative writer and current student at UA-PTC. Juniper enjoys watching and analyzing television shows, anime, and movies, as well as writing and reading fiction and poetry. When not writing or studying, Juniper is usually playing Magic the Gathering or Dungeons and Dragons.

     
Andrea Mitchell  

Andrea Mitchell holds a degree in Business Administration from Pulaski Technical. Andrea has been a college student and a tutor since 2021. She provides instructional support in English/Writing and Computer Concepts as part of the academic support program. Her role focuses on helping students develop essential skills, build confidence, and successfully complete coursework. Andrea is committed to ensuring that all students feel capable of meeting academic expectations and reaching their goals.

Jacob Peets  

Jacob Peets is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a degree in Business Administration. He has served as a tutor in the subjects of math, computer concepts and accounting for more than five years. He loves playing golf in his free time and collecting vinyl records.

     
Lucas Reed  

Lucas Reed is an alumnus of UA-PTC. He has served as a tutor for the Learning Assistance Center for more than 10 years. As a graduate of UA-PTC, Mr. Reed's love of helping students be successful has been his driving force. He knows how it felt being a student in need of assistance and wants to continue to give that to all students. Lucas says he gets joy when a student finally “gets it” and the connection is made.

     
Larry Heiss  

Larry Heiss is a retired Electronics Engineer. He earned both his B.S. in Computer Engineering Technology and M.S. in Applied Science at UA Little Rock. While he was attending college, he worked as a math tutor for over three years, helping students with a fresh perspective from someone still in the struggle. In his abundant spare time, Mr. Heiss enjoys camping, hiking, and playing Fortnite.

Shagufa Tabassum  

Shagufa Tabassum has over five years of experience in computer science and hold a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering and Technology Management. She is available in person and online to support you with any academic challenges that may affect your college work. She looks forward to working with you and supporting your success.

As Helen Hayes said, “The expert in anything was once a beginner.”

Taurion 'TJ' Watson  

Taurion “TJ” Watson is from Little Rock, Arkansas, and partly raised in Dallas, Texas, brings leadership, creativity, and enthusiasm to the UA - Pulaski Technical College Learning Assistance Center. A former Band Major at John L. McClellan High School, TJ developed strong leadership, organization, and communication skills that help him support and guide students effectively. In the LAC Computer Center, TJ assists students with technology, academic platforms, and general computer support, helping them build confidence and independence while completing their coursework. TJ is also excited about helping develop the LAC’s social media presence by highlighting the stories, testimonies, and journeys of UA-PTC students as they work toward the finish line of graduation. His creativity, dedication, and approachable personality make him a valuable member of the LAC team and the UA-PTC community.
