Lois Moore - Ms. Moore is a retired English teacher (Pulaski County Special School District -17 years) and a retired Accounting Technician (Department of Transportation - 25 years). She has a BA in English (UA LR) and an MA in Secondary Education (UA LR). Lynn Strong - Ms. Strong has worked at UA - Pulaski Technical College since 2011. She enjoys helping students with all aspects of their writing assignments. She has mainly taught courses that emphasized writing, reading, and college study skills. She has a M.Ed. in Adult Education from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR, and she has over 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience. When she is not walking her dog or reading a good book, she enjoys line-dancing and spending time with her husband and friends. | ||
Rebecca Glover - Ms. Glover is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas who has over thirty years’ experience teaching writing, business technology, and science classes at the college level. At UA - Pulaski Technical College, Ms. Glover has taught Developmental Composition, Composition I, Keyboarding, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, A+ Certification, Computer Concepts, Systems Analysis and Design, and Introduction to the Internet. She has taught Environmental Science classes in Iowa and in Antarctica. Ms. Glover is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, the University of Iowa, and Seton Hill University. Ms. Glover enjoys reading, writing, and watching films. She is owned by three cats. Her favorite quote is from the poem by Mary Oliver: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” | ||

Terry Allmon-Conner - Ms. Allmon has been a part-time mathematics instructor at UA-PTC since fall 2011 and has been a AR-licensed secondary mathematics teacher since 1993. Ms. Allmon is passionate about the success of every student she tutors. Her dedication to the success of students does not end with homework, she also invests in the whole student’s mental and physical well-being. | ||
Tarlease Jones - Ms. Jones is a master tutor, teaching and tutoring students in higher/secondary education. She graduated with a BA, MA in Business, Secondary Mathematics, and Adult Education. Math has always been a subject Ms. Jones has enjoyed teaching. She says although math looks intimidating, it can be so simple when taught properly. One of her greatest enjoyments is seeing the “light bulb” moment when a student understands a concept and begins to challenge him or herself. Ms. Jones passion is to always encourage students to ask questions and never be afraid to admit they do not understand something. | ||
Jacob Peets - Mr. Peets is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a degree in Business Administration. He has served as a tutor in the subjects of math, computer concepts and accounting for more than five years. He loves playing golf in his free time and collecting vinyl records. | ||
Lucas Reed - Mr. Reed is an alumnus of UA-PTC. He has served as a tutor for the Learning Assistance Center for more than 10 years. As a graduate of UA-PTC, Mr. Reed's love of helping students be successful has been his driving force. He knows how it felt being a student in need of assistance and wants to continue to give that to all students. Lucas says he gets joy when a student finally “gets it” and the connection is made. | ||
Cyrus Dean Marbaniang - Mr. Marbaniang is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Biology at UA - Pulaski Technical College. He majored in Agriculture and Biotechnology from Arkansas State University. Mr. Marbaniang's area of research is focused on plants, where he performed tissue culture experiments and analyzed protein analysis from various plant and animal samples. Science is his passion and allows him to learn a lot about life. He also loves sports such as soccer and various outdoor activities. Mr. Marbaniang is a lover of all kinds of movies and tv series involving thrillers, animation, and comedy. His love for teaching began early and has deepened ad he continues to work with different students, helping and guiding then to achieve their education needs. | ||
Dee Smith - Mrs. Smith has been serving at UA-PTC for over 20 years. As an alumna, faculty member, and staff member, she offers a unique perspective on helping students, having experienced all sides of the educational process. After completing her AA, Mrs. Smith earned her master's in Business Administration. In addition to her role as UA-PTC's director of testing services, she owns two businesses and teaches part-time. Outside of work, Mrs. Smith enjoys spending time with her husband and family or can be found at the casino working on an additional retirement plan. |
