The Avionics program is designed to provide training and hands-on experience for students new to the field or those who have their Airframe and Powerplant licenses (A&P). Participants will learn a basic understanding of aircraft electronics, maintenance practices, and fundamental aircraft design along with the opportunity to take the National Center for Aerospace & Transportation Technologies Aircraft Electronics Technician (NCATT AET) exam.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Avionics program, the learner will be able to:

1. Recognize avionics terminology, electrical theory, and system operations.

2. Use test equipment to evaluate system performance, isolate faults, and perform repairs.

3. Demonstrate adherence to all safety and regulatory standards applicable to the work environment.

4. Prepare participants for the National Center for Aerospace & Transportation Technologies Aircraft Electronics Technician (NCATT AET) exam.
