Library studentIt is the goal of UA-PTC Libraries to provide students, faculty and staff at remote locations and in the online environment with services and resources equivalent to those services and resources provided to faculty and students on the North Little Rock campus and at the Little Rock-South site.

Books, audio, etc.

Search our online catalog for materials in UA-PTC Libraries. Up to five items may be checked out for two weeks. Materials may be sent to the Main Campus and Little Rock-South site via courier service. E-books are available through the Library catalog (go to the bottom of the record and click on the link to read the book online). You can narrow your search in the catalog to eBooks only by using the drop-down Optional Limits box and choosing E-books.

Interlibrary Loan

If UA-PTC Libraries does not have the materials you need, you may ask us to borrow the materials from any library participating on the national network. Just submit the interlibrary loan request form. Articles can be emailed or faxed to you; books must be picked up at the Library, but allow 1-2 weeks for delivery of books.

Borrowing from other libraries (ArkLink)

Ask for an ArkLink card at the Library Circulation Desk so that you can borrow materials from an Arkansas college or university near you.

Articles

Search Library databases 24-7 from any Internet-connected computer. The databases offer authoritative articles from magazines, journals and newspaper, excerpts from reference works, transcripts, images, study guides, and more. There are over 40 databases; read the description of each to find the most appropriate sources for your topic in the Database A-Z list or choose by your subject area in the  Databases by Subject list.

If you are looking for a specific journal, the eJournals A to Z will tell you if the Library owns a print or electronic copy. If an electronic copy is in one of our databases, the locator will provide a link to it.

Database access for students: log in with your Campus Portal username (the first 2 letters of your first name + last name + last 4 digits of our student ID number Ex: josmith4567) and your Campus Portal password.

Database access for faculty and staff: log in with your Campus Portal username (the first letter of your first name + your last name Ex: jsmith) and your Campus Portal password.

If you encounter problems using the databases, check the Database Troubleshooting Guide first. If that does not solve your problem, call Ottenheimer Library at (501) 812-2272 or fill out the Ask a Librarian form.
