Do You Want to Play a Game?

The choices for board and card games have exploded in recent years, with many exciting new ways to have fun with family and friends without a screen! In this class Dr. George Lauster will discuss the science behind games, how you can use games to teach kids communication and problem solving, and what exactly makes things fun. Several game examples will be played in class to demonstrate these topics. You will learn tips about game choices, making game play enjoyable, and how to create your own games. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Starting a Non-Profit: A Workshop on how to Create a Successful Non-Profit

Please join Michal Harris, founder of Ikarus Youth, a local non-profit organization, for a discussion about what a non-profit is, how to play an active role in getting others to care, the success rate, how to get funding, and the process of creating a successful organization from the ground.

Cost: $45
When: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Lunch: 12 - 1 p.m. Particpants may leave campus for lunch or bring a lunch from home.
